George Street Birmingham : Completed

George Street comprises a 2.5 acre prime development site in the area of Birmingham City Centre allocated for an urban village in the Jewellery Quarter Urban Village Framework Plan adopted in 1998.

The site was acquired in January 2004 and contains a series of industrial and office buildings. It is situated adjacent to the site previously occupied by the Birmingham Science Museum, which is in the process of being redeveloped into apartments, offices and retail units. It is also located near to Islington Gates, the highly celebrated canal side scheme completed by MCD in 2004.

The site used to facilitate the new university of Leisure and Tourism for Companies in 2007.
