History
Brindley House
Brindley House is the conversion of a 1970s ex-telecommunications building that has lain vacant for many years.
Once dubbed ‘the ugliest building in Birmingham’, the transformation saw the building refurbished inside and out to create 182 apartments, offering innovative design and luxury specification, being created across 17 floors – the top two of which have been added to the existing building for penthouses with spectacular city views.
Before
As light sensitive equipment was once contained inside the building, ceiling and window heights are higher on one side of the building. MCD embraced this feature, and using innovative designs, created distinctive features inside the apartments such as stairs with storage space beneath them and sunken baths.

Contemporary fixtures are used throughout to bring a real sense of style to each property. Sleek kitchens and opulent bathrooms offer luxurious, yet highly functional areas, while the resourceful use of space allows each apartment to feel much larger than one might expect.
